Users, even those who have previously taken advantage of Adobe's 30-day free trial, can start a new trial by opening the software application and clicking 'Update'. This includes trial versions of Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, and Photoshop CC. So please be careful when telling people to just, "read the documentation," that directive does not show empathy. Adobe recently updated its Creative Cloud suite of software, and to give users a chance to test the new features it has reset its product trials. which is a terrible experience for visually impaired screen magnifier users who depend on menus because we just can't see the nuanced little Adobe icons well at all, and the user interface can't even be enlarged. Additionally, yes, they are grayed out in the selection menu. In fact, why does Adobe not use vector icons in its documentation? But more fundamentally, why is there no keyboard shortcut listed? Well, maybe its because there IS NO KEYBOARD SHORTCUT! You can hit S for scale, but not go into shear with the same key, like with other tools. For example, it says here in the offical docs to "Select the shear tool" with a horrible little icon that is not even retina-optimized so it can be zoomed without blurring. The keyboard shortcut is not given in the documentation. Simply click the alternate glyph to replace the character with it. A Web Edition is an electronic version of the book that can be accessed with any Internet connection from your account on This Web Edition includes over 10 hours of step-by-step video. Introduced in Illustrator CC 2017 release When you're working on a type object, you can select a character to quickly view alternate glyphs right next to it in the in-context menu.
